What am I Missing?
Psychotherapist Emma Reed Turrell identified that many of her patients sought therapy when they felt anxious or depressed, but were unable to identify the reason. For the author, the answer lies in the existence of a blind spot: a gap in our perception that distorts how we see ourselves and others, and that can make us feel despised, insecure, or overwhelmed. The lettering on the cover suffers from some blurry areas that make it difficult to read the title referencing the author’s thesis.
