O duelo 2016 Program

Mundana theater company toured Brazil and Europe between 2013 and 2014 presenting their version of Anton Chekhov’s The Duel. After just over three years of the premiere, the play returned for presentations in the Brazilian northeast countryside, where the first essays and actors’ immersions have influenced the adaptation of the 19th century Russian text to the Brazilian contemporary reality. The graphic design of the program, which was previously very colorful, was updated with black and white photos and a more sober color for the texts background. The design shift refers to a more mature moment of the play and also to a less optimistic view of the world in 2016.
