Testosterone Rex

[awards]
selection of 13rd adg brazilian graphic design biennial 2017

The author uses scientific data to deconstruct the myth of male superiority over women based on their physical formation. According to Cordelia Fine, Testosterone Rex is a metaphor for an incorrect view of scientists who have been justifying the preponderance of males in society through scientific explanations. Her research and studies show that there are not any correct scientific data capable of justifying the preponderance of one genre over another. The ironic cover is a collage of illustrations which attest the male chauvinist universe in a pop language, as something natural and welcome. Its old style and absurd theme match directly with the title that considers gender discrepancy something primitive and outdated.
