Grete Stern's dreams

photographer grete stern (1904–99) created a set of photomontages in the 1940s to illustrate the dreams of readers of the argentine magazine idilio [idyll]. inspired by the artist’s modernist cultural context, we established a dialogue between layout and photomontages. In the cover art, a triangle points at a round image of the moon. Both elements, circle and triangle, thus became the identity of the catalogue. The text grid is often cropped to make room for images that illustrate the articles. designed with kiko farkas from máquina estúdio.
